Over a period of time, HelloFresh maintained two distribution centres in The Netherlands that catered to the demand of Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, and France.
The distribution centres were dedicated to producing boxes for Dutch and French-speaking regions, respectively. The production lines and brands associated with each distribution centre were unique to their respective regions.
In order to optimize the production process and minimize costs, the decision was made to merge the two distribution centres into a single facility. We played a critical role in this initiative, by standardizing all data processes to ensure a smooth transition. Following the standardization, the migration was carried out in weekly batches until the production of all boxes was successfully migrated.
This migration led to a cost savings of 9.8 million euros annually.
